Our newsdesk has been experimenting with the use of AI chatbots to predict the prices of bitcoin. However, we have now applied the same technology to forecast the year-end prices of gold and silver. Both gold and silver have experienced significant gains recently, with gold reaching an all-time high of $2,449 per ounce and silver trading at $32.02 per ounce.

To predict the future prices of gold and silver, we utilized several generative AI chatbots including Openai's Chatgpt 4, 4o, and 3.5, Anthropic's Claude 3 Sonnet, Google's Gemini, Inflection AI's Pi, Mistral AI's Le Chat, and Microsoft's Copilot creative mode. Each AI chatbot was given the prompt to forecast the year-end values of gold and silver.

Interestingly, unlike our previous experiments with bitcoin predictions, the AI models' forecasts for gold and silver were more conservative. They were prompted with a scenario that takes into account the uncertain global macroeconomic environment and the current prices of gold and silver. Based on this, the chatbots provided their forecasts.

Chatgpt 4 predicted that gold may reach approximately $2,500 per ounce by the end of 2024, with silver climbing to about $34 per ounce. Chatgpt 4o and Chatgpt 3.5 had similar predictions, with gold reaching around $2,800 per ounce and silver settling near $35 per ounce. Claude Sonnet's estimate for gold was between $2,600 and $2,800 per ounce, while silver could range from $36 to $42 per ounce. Gemini and Pi had similar predictions, with gold reaching $2,800 per ounce and silver stabilizing around $38.50 per ounce. Le Chat predicted gold to reach $2,800 per ounce and silver to reach $40 per ounce. Finally, Copilot forecasted gold to reach $2,500 per ounce and silver to hit $35 per ounce.

Overall, the AI chatbots' predictions indicate a continued upward trend for gold and silver prices. This can be attributed to the ongoing global economic uncertainties and the role of these metals as safe-haven assets. The forecasts also take into account factors such as inflationary pressures and geopolitical tensions. It is important to note that these predictions are generated by automated systems and should be treated as such.
