Bitcoin and Ethereum had a lackluster week, with BTC experiencing a modest 0.5% increase and ETH declining by 3.8%. However, there were several crypto assets that saw gains, with notcoin (NOT) leading the pack with a 214% increase against the U.S. dollar.
NOT emerged as the top gainer in the crypto market, which is currently valued at $2.58 trillion and grew by 1.59% in the last day. NOT has seen a significant surge of over 9% in the past 24 hours and an impressive 214% over the course of the week.
In addition to NOT, other tokens also performed well. The meme token brett (BRETT) rose by 38.5% this week, followed by TIA with a 17.7% increase, ORDI with 15.5%, and BGB with 15.1%. The top trade volumes for the week, excluding BTC, ETH, and stablecoins, were generated by NOT, BNB, SOL, PEPE, XRP, and DOGE.
Unfortunately, only 21 coins managed to gain against the U.S. dollar in the past seven days. The biggest loser of the week was bittensor (TAO), dropping by 14%. Thorchain (RUNE) also experienced a decline of 13.5% against the U.S. dollar. While some tokens saw gains, a significant number of crypto assets recorded net losses this week.
Among the notable losers were UNI, PENDLE, AKT, PEPE, and BONK, which declined by 9.9% to 12.7% against the greenback. ARB, ETC, TKX, CORE, THETA, and MKR also suffered significant losses. While a few tokens did see gains, such as NOT, the overall market performance was characterized by more losses than gains.
