Singapore-based digital market infrastructure operator, Marketnode, has secured funding for its Series A financing round, with HSBC leading the investment. The exact amount raised has not been disclosed. Marketnode, a joint venture between Singapore Exchange (SGX) Group and state-owned investment firm Temasek, develops distributed ledger technology solutions for credit, funds, and structured products. It operates Fundnode, a fund settlement platform, as well as a platform for the digital issuance, data management, and asset servicing of fixed-income and structured products. HSBC's collaboration with Marketnode includes a joint project with United Overseas Bank to trial structured product issuance on public blockchain. HSBC's Ian Glasner, group head of Innovation, Ventures, and Digital Partnerships, highlighted the bank's commitment to building a robust multi-asset digital infrastructure. John O'Neill from HSBC will join Marketnode's board.
